Aroma: spicy, warming and reminiscent of the fresh root
Properties: Physically, it is good for the respiratory system, coughs and colds and for alleviating sore muscles either in a base oil (like sesame) or in a bath.
Blends with: cedarwood, citrus oils, patchouli, spice oils, vetiver & ylang ylang.
It is steam distilled from the root.
Shelf life: It will keep for around 5 years if stored with lid tightly closed in a cool, dark area.
