Why switch to natural skincare?

We care about what we eat. We go to great lengths to buy the freshest foods possible, we may spend double the normal amount to buy organic food which has been grown without the use of chemical pesticides, herbicides and fertilisers. However, we may not go to such lengths when we buy our cosmetics and personal care products. Do we want our skincare to be kind to and nourishing for our skin? Do we want the products and their effects be kind to animals and marine life? Do we want them to have no negative effect on the environment? What are the effects of our choices?

Did you know that less than half of the world’s babies are breastfed? The world breastfeeding week aims to raise awareness about the importance of breastfeeding. Now of course there are cases where breastfeeding is difficult or maybe not even possible for a mum and/or a baby, but there are many incidences where this is not the case but still breastfeeding is not happening. Why is this? Is it the power of advertising of the formula companies? Is it inconvenience? What is it?

Is aromatherapy useful for anxiety?

The Oxford Dictionary defines anxiety as a “feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome” in a more severe state, rather than just a temporary feeling, it is defined as a “nervous disorder marked by excessive uneasiness and apprehension, typically with compulsive behaviour or panic attacks”.
